Our Careteam

Lead Veterinary Technician
Meg worked in a variety of fields in the past, including retail, food service, and even child care. But she always felt that there was something missing. She had adored animals while growing up and even considered becoming a marine biologist for a time—why not follow that passion, Meg thought, by becoming a veterinary professional? That set her on a course that hasn’t wavered to this day. She’s the clinic’s Lead Veterinary Technician!

Meg is originally from Bricktown, New Jersey and attended a community college there before moving to Pennsylvania with her family. After earning her Associate’s degree in general studies at a local college, she re-enrolled to study veterinary technology in the school’s Veterinary Assistant program. Shortly afterwards, Meg found an opening here at Critter Care Veterinary Hospital, and the rest is history!
Around the clinic, Meg particularly enjoys cleaning pets’ mouths and seeing the final product after her dental work is done. She’s also fond of the continuing education opportunities that she’s received through the hospital—constantly learning more in her field is something that Meg doesn’t take for granted!

Meg is an avid photographer when she’s not at work, and loves to snap pictures whenever the opportunity presents itself. At home, she and her boyfriend, Chris, share their lives with five pets: a rescued dog named Quinn; a dog named Chase who Meg adopted after he was surrendered to Critter Care Veterinary Hospital; a pair of litter-mate cats named Baxter and Rosco; and a cat named Junk Yard who Meg adopted from the hospital in poor condition and rehabilitated back to full health.
Nancy Yetter
Veterinary Technician
As a young girl, Nancy tried to bring home all sorts of creatures, including deer, birds, and even a baby fox. She’s always had a passion for helping animals live happier, healthier lives. For her, entering the world of veterinary medicine was just a natural progression! Nancy gets to better the lives of pets and their loving owners every day as a Veterinary Technician.

Nancy was born in West Chester and raised in Oxford. She attended the Center for Arts and Technology’s animal science course through 10th grade until graduation, and then took a job at the Chester County SPCA—Nancy would help pets there for the next seven years, learning the ins and outs of the profession and gaining crucial hands-on experience that continues to serve her well to this day.
When it came time for a change of pace, Nancy decided to look for work in a vet clinic. That’s when she came across an opportunity here at Critter Care Veterinary Hospital—Nancy joined the hospital family in September of 2013 and has been caring for the area’s pets and animal parents ever since.

Most of Nancy’s free time away from work is spent with her family. She and her husband have two boys, Nathaniel and James, as well as several pets. They have a Rottweiler puppy, Loki, whose favorite pastimes are playing fetch and chewing on his bones, as well as three cats: Kiki, who loves everyone she meets; Cleo the Siamese who Nancy rescued from the SPCA; and Blaze, who got his name after Nancy’s husband rescued him from a fire at three weeks of age.
Veterinary Assistant
Vanessa had plenty of pets while growing up, including baby rabbits, a snake, birds, cats and dogs, and even a horse. It wasn’t difficult for her to fall in love with the world of pet care early on in life. Vanessa always knew that she wanted to do everything in her power to help pets live better lives! She’s able to do just that every day as a Veterinary Assistant with the Critter Care Veterinary Hospital team.

Vanessa is originally from North Carolina and moved to Pennsylvania with her family when she was 15 years old. She brought her own pets here to the clinic before she became an employee—when she noticed that there were openings available, she didn’t hesitate to apply. A short time later, Vanessa was a member of the hospital family! She likes soaking up knowledge from the clinic’s doctors and Techs, and she also loves to see happy, healthy pets be reunited with their loving owners once they’re ready to go home after their office visits.

Outside of her interests in animal care, Vanessa enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, and spending time with her boyfriend and family. She has one pet at home, a loveable cat named Jasper.
Christina Karmilowizc
Lead Customer Care Representative
Christina has more than two decades’ worth of experience helping customers. She’s worked as a travel agent, a receptionist at a hair salon, and just about everything in between! When the time came for Christina to seek out a new opportunity that would allow her to put her background to good use, she came across an opening here at Critter Care Veterinary Hospital. The rest is history, and she’s now the team’s Lead Customer Care Representative!

Christina has lived in Chester County her whole life and joined the Critter Care Veterinary Hospital family in late 2017. She’s been enjoying every moment since! Christina particularly likes meeting pet owners at the front desk and imparting what she’s learned since starting in the veterinary field. She also loves getting to work alongside a team of passionate animal-lovers just like herself every day.
When she’s not at work, Christina can be found antiquing, camping and hiking, and trap-shooting with her husband. She has two children, Hailey and Nicholas, as well as two stepdaughters named Lauren and Sara. Christina and her husband share their home with a dog, Honey, and four wonderful cats: Sadie, Sasha, Suri, and Darwin.

Now, Autumn is a member of Critter Care Veterinary Hospital’s kennel team and will soon take on additional duties as a Veterinary Assistant!
